ORB Advisory Group, LLC was founded in 2013 to provide senior-level advisory support to public- and private-sector organizations facing complex strategic, investment, development, transaction, organizational and operating decisions.
ORB brings breadth and depth of experience across real estate, infrastructure and trade & logistics—including leading organizations, managing major assets and investments, negotiating complex transactions and public/private partnerships, and moving initiatives from strategy to implementation.
MANAGING DIRECTOR
Omar R. Benjamin
Omar R. Benjamin is the Managing Director of ORB Advisory Group, LLC. He has more than 25 years of international public- and private-sector experience in real estate, infrastructure, trade, logistics and related investment and development activities.
His experience includes 14 years with the Port of Oakland, where he served in senior leadership positions including Executive Director, Deputy Executive Director and Director of Commercial Real Estate. His responsibilities included major seaport, airport and commercial real estate assets, organizational operations, capital investment and complex public/private transactions.
Prior to the Port of Oakland, Mr. Benjamin served as Chief Operating Officer for Al Anwa USA Inc. and Newfield Enterprises International, with responsibility for investment, development and business operations. He also served as an investment manager for The First Investment Capital Corporation in Paris, France.
This combination of public- and private-sector leadership provides ORB with practical perspective from both sides of the table—investor and institution, owner and operator, public entity and private enterprise.

ORB’s perspective is informed by direct executive responsibility for major public assets, operating organizations, capital programs and commercial relationships.
At the Port of Oakland, Mr. Benjamin’s responsibilities extended across a major U.S. seaport, an international airport and approximately 1,000 acres of commercial real estate, requiring the alignment of public objectives, commercial realities, capital investment and organizational execution.
Private-Sector Investment & Operations
ORB also brings direct private-sector experience in investment, development, business operations and transaction execution.
That experience provides practical understanding of how investors, developers, operators and commercial counterparties evaluate opportunities, risk, capital, returns and implementation requirements.
